Key Components of Tennis

Technique, endurance, footwork, and the mental game are all important components of a player's overall game. Knowing what needs improvement can help the player choose the lesson type that fits them best. For example, technique such as grip and strokes is better learned and maintained by taking private lessons, while endurance is improved by rallying with other players in group lessons.

Technique

Technique is the foundation of tennis, involving mastery of groundstrokes, volleys, and serves. A strong technical foundation allows players to execute shots with greater precision, consistency, and efficiency. Proper technique also minimizes the risk of injury.

Endurance

Endurance enables players to maintain a high level of performance throughout long matches. Strong endurance enhances footwork, shot consistency, and overall efficiency, preventing fatigue from affecting technique and decision-making. 

Footwork

Footwork is crucial for maintaining balance, speed, and precision during a match. It allows players to position themselves optimally for each shot, ensuring they can react quickly to the ball and execute with power and accuracy. 

Mental Game

The mental game in tennis is just as important as technical skill, as it can greatly influence a player's performance. Staying focused, maintaining a positive mindset, and managing emotions are key to overcoming challenges on the court. 

Private

One-on-one lessons targeting the player's specific needs, ideal for rapid improvement of technique. Offered in 40-minute and 1-hour sessions. *Recommended for players with basic groundstroke knowledge.

Small Group

Group lessons consisting of 2-4 players of similar skill level (beginner to intermediate). Targeting endurance, footwork, and mentality during singles/doubles game. Offered in 1 hour and 1.5 hr sessions. 

Summer Camp

ONLY available from June to July. Large group lessons consisting of 6 or more players of similar skill level (beginner to intermediate). Includes a variety of skills. Offered in 2 hour sessions.                  a
